Solo Performance by Georgina Lock
This 45-minute theatrical solo zooms in on the joys and conflicts of an anchoress, one of many lay-women who, throughout the Middle Ages, chose prayer, fasting and lone lockdown in a church lean-to for life.
Dr Georgina Lock is a writer, actress and film-maker based in Suffolk. She focusses on creative narratives about women marginalised or obscured by history. HLSI zoomed Georgina’s solo show about Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, Lady in a Veil in March 2021.
There will be a short Question and Answer session at the end of the performance.
