Please note that the majority of students will already have had nearly two years of learning Italian so new students will need the equivalent competence. The tutor will help with the recapping of the following: personal information, shopping, booking a hotel, talking about past experiences, etc. Italian grammar will be part of every lesson covering especially: present tense of regular and irregular verbs, reflexive verbs, past tense, etc. Speaking will be happening through controlled activities like role-plays, pair and group work, games and small presentations.
The textbook is Luciana Ziglio - Giovanna Rizzo Nuovo espresso: Libro dello Studente 1, Alma Editore.

Gloria holds a BA in Foreign Language and Literature ( Bologna), a certificate in Further Education and a PGCE. Gloria has taught at various institutions, including Hampstead Garden Suburb Institute for over 10 years. She has been our Italian tutor at HLSI for over 5 years.
