A new initiative we would like to bring to your attention: from the summer term we shall be trialling a musical theatre choir, led by Chris Huntley, a West End musical director and vocal coach.
Following the success of the ‘taster session’, the choir will go ahead on the dates advertised above. Each session is at a fixed rate of £8 per session, with no differentials between members and non-members. We do, however, need you to enrol for the full term so that we can cover cost, hence the fixed £56 fee.
From the autumn term we would like to see the choir as a permanent fixture on Monday evenings.
No previous experience is necessary and there is no requirement to sight-read. Come along to celebrate joy in singing together and building our musical community. We shall sing great standards from Rogers and Hammerstein, Sondheim and all the well-known composers in musical theatre from the early 20th century to the present day. Whatever your starting point – new to singing or an experienced chorister – Chris will take you on a journey to develop your voice, your vocal tone, breath and resonance. Above all, it will be fun, collaborative and adventurous!
