The Live Literature Company’s dramatic presentation of William Blake’s Songs of Innocence and Experience brings Blake’s mystical and socially-observant poetry alive for today’s audience through dramatic reading and visual imagery, and music inspired by Blake composed by John Tavener.

The Live Literature Company has the aim of furthering the empathy and understanding literature gives through live performance. Over the past 20 years the company has worked in collaboration with the British Library, the V&A Museum, the National Portrait Gallery, the Wales Millennium Centre, Amnesty International and Tate, where the company is an Artistic Associate. The company has championed the work of women as performers, writers, stage managers and administrators and has also promoted diversity and inclusive casting in their productions.
