Erica is a political philosopher and historian of ideas.  Formerly fellow in ethics and political philosophy at Yale University, she is now President of the European Society for the History of Political Thought. She has published a number of acclaimed books including Be Like the Fox, a biography of Machiavelli that was a BBC Book of the Week. Her new book, Adventures in Democracy: The Turbulent World of People Power, is a Financial Times pick for What to Read in 2024.
