The HLSI library
The Library has nearly 25,000 books, which are constantly updated. We have a strong emphasis on biography, literature, history, and general fiction, and also have a very popular crime fiction section. Many of our books are not available in other libraries, and the collection has often proved to be a useful resource for researchers and writers.
We have a comprehensive reference section and an excellent children's library with books for all ages.
Members may borrow up to six books at a time. A computer is available to members to check the catalogue or for access to the Internet.
The Coleridge Room holds our special collections
This room may be used by members for study and research: please telephone the HLSI Library if you would like to check when it is available.
Members can request book renewals or reserve books in person, by telephone or by e-mailing the librarian at librarian@hlsi.net.
