Ten artists from the Chocolate Factory studios present work on the theme of ‘Landscapes’, whether literal or metaphorical, in a variety of style and medium.
The former home to Barratts Confectionery, the Chocolate Factory was established in 1996 and is now home to over 200 artists and creative industry businesses. The studios were developed by Collage Arts with local artists and are located in the heart of the Wood Green Cultural Quarter.
The work produced at the Chocolate Factory represents a wide variety of styles, including: fine art, mosaics, sculpture, book-binding, photography, textiles, ceramics, painted/gilded glass, jewellery and furniture making. Chocolate Factory 2 houses dance, music/video production, visual arts and audio-visual production companies.
Collage Arts is a leading arts development, training and creative regeneration organisation based in the middle of Haringey’s only Cultural Quarter. For over 25 years it has created opportunities for greater participation in the arts and creative industries for the whole community. Collage Arts has developed two buildings for the artistic community at Chocolate Factory 1 and 2, housing over 220 creative businesses.
The exhibiting artists, are Meiso Lai, Gail Altschuler, Ian Long, Penny Elder,Brian Palmer, Paul Berry, Liz Sutherland, Ruma Nowaz, Karen Williamson and Ursula Kellett. All work will be 2-dimensional.
