The Victoria Hall is a nineteenth-century vaulted hall (36ft by 27ft) with large lantern roof light, erected in 1880 over an open space previously used for stabling horses. It has a small courtyard garden, a stage area, piano and sprung wooden floor, with a flexible lighting system (central lighting, stage lighting or spot lighting) which can be adapted for whichever use required, be it illuminating the Institution’s historic picture collection, the latest gallery exhibition (an average of nine exhibitions a year) or individual event.
